Description

The City’s building certification team approves and controls building activity on private land and in public spaces. Team members are accredited under the Building Professionals Act to carry out all statutory functions of an accredited certifier including inspecting building works as the principal certifying authority.

Other services include the preparation of Building Code of Australia compliance reports and pre-DA advice in relation to buildings undergoing alteration and/or change of use (statutory matters under clauses 93 and 94 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000).
