Covering an area of approximately 290km2, Council's Development Assessment team currently review and assess over 500 DA's per year (a mix of residential, commercial, industrial and rural), with a median processing time of 20 days (well above the industry standard). With a local government area currently covering over 40,000 people. Orange City Council provides a range of services to both the Orange community and the wider region. Operating four funds (General, Water, Sewer and Trust), managing an annual budget of over $190 million and overseeing an investment portfolio of over $170 million.
