Assessment

The Speaker will provide an opportunity to ask questions.

Once the Webinar has concluded, attendees will be required to successfully pass a short Knowledge Quiz before CPD points are awarded. This contributes to the professional standing of our members and the Association.

Our speaker

 Shane Gillespie

Building Surveyor, Fire Safety - Shoalhaven City Council

Shane spent time in the Navy, then working at BHP Steelworks and Commonwealth Steel in Newcastle, and the Hunter Valley mines before joining the NSW Police Force. Shane served 20 years in uniform, and as a Detective he conducted investigations into crimes ranging from street level drug trafficking and property crime, to armed robbery and murder, before transferring to the Child's Protection Squad. He was a Police Negotiator, and completed the Detective Education Program and Advance Diploma in Public Safety (Investigation).  

After leaving the Police Force, Shane started working at Shoalhaven Council as a Senior Compliance Officer, where he undertook complex development compliance investigations. Shane completed his Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying and was then appointed as a Building Surveyor - Fire Safety, where he manages commercial fire safety team for the Shoalhaven LGA, providing referral advice for DAs and assisting the Certification Team with residential and commercial CC and CDC assessments.

Cancellation policy
- Full amount will be refunded when registration is cancelled up to seven (7) working days prior to seminar.
- If no cancellation notice is received or cancellation is made less than seven (7) working days prior to seminar, no refund will be provided without a doctor's certificate.
Substitution registration is accepted however charges may apply.
