Join the Association of Australian Certifiers (AAC) for this Webinar covering 'Energy Efficiency: Compliance with NCC Section J'.

This webinar will cover NCC Section J, which sets out the requirements for energy efficiency of buildings to progress through the approval stages. The webinar is specifically designed to assist Certifiers in gaining knowledge and understanding of Section J, pathways to compliance, and as a Certifier, how to check for compliance with the energy efficient provisions of the NCC and review of relevant case studies for compliance.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding the main drivers and intent of Section J
  • Determining the difference between DTS and Verification methods
  • Identification of the main compliance items of Section J
  • How to check for Section J Compliance
  • Lessons Learnt - Case Study.

Assessment

The Speaker will provide an opportunity to ask questions.

At the conclusion of the Webinar, attendees will be required to successfully pass a short multiple choice Knowledge Quiz, before CPD points are awarded. This contributes to the professional standing of our members and the Association.

Our speaker

Padraig Healy (BE, MSc Sustainable Design)

Director of Sustainability - Credwell: Building & Construction Consultants

 Padraig came to Australia in 2012, commenced his career in the Energy Consulting sector where he trained in ESD and hasn't looked back since.  Padraig is now the Director of Sustainability for Credwell Energy, since its inception in 2018, where he now heads a growing multi discipline team, who create optimal pathways to compliance and sustainability outcomes.

Padraig is uniquely placed to address sustainable building requirements, drawing upon his experience and qualifications in Engineering, and achieving Honours in a Masters of Architectural Science (Sustainable Design). He also holds a Cert. IV in NatHERS Assessment, NSBERS Accreditation for offices & apartments, Certification in WUFI 1D and is a Greenstar Accredited Professional.  In addition to his career success, he welcomed his first daughter in October 2021.

Cancellation policy
- Full amount will be refunded when registration is cancelled up to seven (7) working days prior to seminar.
- If no cancellation notice is received or cancellation is made less than seven (7) working days prior to seminar, no refund will be provided without a doctor's certificate.
