CDCs Decoding the Codes - Residential at Roseville
Join the Association of Australian Certifiers (AAC) for this seminar on residential Complying Development Certificates.
The purpose of this seminar is to equip Registered Certifiers with the basic knowledge of assessing whether a development can be considered Complying Development under State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 and other relevant Environmental Planning Instruments. The seminar will also provide details to Certifiers on the legislative framework of the process of issuing a Complying Development Certificate under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000.

• Key information on the assessment of applications for Complying Development
• Minimum documentation required for a Complying Development Certificate application as to satisfy the Act, Regulations, Codes SEPP and the Certifier
• The processes of issuing Complying Development Certificates
• Assessment of Applications under Part 3 – the Housing Code
• Assessment of Applications under Part 3B – the Low Rise Housing Diversity Code
• Team Workshops of Assessments of Complying Development Certificates
• Q & A session
It is highly recommended that Certifiers/ Building Surveyors bring a copy of their Complying Development Certificates to the seminar to cross check if their approvals satisfy the minimum requirements under all relevant legislation

Our speaker
Adam Mainey
Adam is the Director of Concise Certification Pty Ltd and Concise Planning Pty Ltd. Adam holds over 10 years’ experience in the Building Regulations Industry, with experience as a Certifier, BCA Consultant and Town Planner operating in Private Practice. He has been involved in projects across a wide variety of sectors in the Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Education and Government sectors.
Adam specialises in advice on Complying Development Certificates for Certifiers within the industry and has been involved in a number of Land and Environment Cases as an Expert Witness in the assessment of Complying Development Certificates.
Adam aims to provide Certifiers with the necessary information to protect themselves against legal claims with the increasing liability in the role as Certifiers and the increasing scope of Complying Development in the process of providing efficient building outcomes in NSW.
